Breaking Out? Give ROO's Go-To Night Serums A Try

1. ALPHA ARBUTIN 2% + HA

This is my latest purchase and I am yet to use it! It's also my very first product from The Ordinary, which I have always heard great reviews of so I am very much looking forward to trying this out. Stay tuned for a review coming soon!

WHAT IT IS

A Concentrated Serum with Purified Alpha Arbutin and Hyaluronic Acid. Alpha Arbutin reduces the looks of spots and hyper-pigmentation. It's used at a high 2% concentration versus a standard concentration of 1% and supported with a next-generation form of Hyaluronic Acid for enhanced delivery.

INGREDIENTS

The ingredients consist of Aqua (Water), Alpha-Arbutin, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Propanediol, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Lactic Acid, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Ethoxydiglycol, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin.

HOW TO USE

Apply a few drops to face in the AM and PM as part of your skincare regimen. Use sun protection in the AM. If irritation occurs, cease use and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised.

2. DR. STRURM'S CLARIFYING SERUM

Dr. Sturm's Clarifying Serum is an anti-aging serum especially for blemished skin. The active ingredient complex from albatrellus ovinus in the clarifying serum alleviates skin sensitivity and redness - for an instant calming effect. The serum smooths fine lines and wrinkles in demanding skin and supplies plenty of moisture. Regular use normalises the appearance of the skin and removes blemishes effectively. Fore more even, clear skin. This is definitely more on the pricey side in comparison to the other 2 products, so if you've got some cash to splash I would recommend you give this a try if you have been struggling with acne scars.

HOW TO USE

A small amount goes a long way. In my night-time routine I usually apply 3-5 drops of the serum and pat it on to the areas where I feel I need it the most – which is my cheeks, from there, whatever excess of the serum I still have on my hands I pat around the remaining areas (forehead, chin). Use it regularly every night before bed to see the results you are looking for and you will be surprised to see the difference in acne scars. I recommend taking a before & after picture to make the comparison!

3. MIDNIGHT RECOVERY CONCENTRATE FACE OIL

I have been using this serum for years now, I think it works differently on different skin types + depending on the weather in the country you reside in. Living in Europe, during winter it really helped hydrate my skin at night, but here in the Middle East I find that even 3 drops is a lot so I limit myself to 1-2 drops per cheek because my skin naturally gets much oilier during this heat. I would rate this 8.75/10 because when applied with night cream it feels very heavy on my skin but I do love and appreciate the glow it gives my skin all night!

The face oil is a moisturizing face oil that visibly restores skin while you sleep. Formulated with Lavender Essential Oil and Evening Primrose Oil, the moisturizing face oil helps restore skin overnight for radiant, younger-looking skin by morning.
